Collie J. Nicholson chapter members volunteer at Minnie’s Food Pantry
On July 15th, the Collie J. Nicholson Alumni Chapter volunteered at Minne’s Food Pantry in Plano, TX. Ms. Cheryl Jackson, the founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry, shared the beginnings and how MFP has grown over the years. Volunteers sorted food, greeted those seeking assistance, boxed food and organized clothes in the boutique. During the time we were there, 85 families were served, 220 people were served, 4,250 pounds of food was served, 3,542 meals were provided and 120 food boxes were prepared. Once our volunteer time slot was up, each volunteer received a certificate of appreciation for their service.
