More about Tyriq Miles in his words
“My education will benefit the black community because I plan on opening a community center. The community center will be a safe haven for teens by offering recreational activities and a safe, stable, and productive environment. My community center will also host tutoring sessions and teach the youth valuable knowledge such as financial literacy. I will also use the knowledge I have gained from reading books such as the ones I mentioned earlier to educate the teens that come to the community center. However, I cannot wait until my community center is opened to start helping the community. As of now, I always tell my friends and family what I learned while reading these books. I also plan to join the SGA at Grambling in order to spread this mindset I have and hopefully ignite the fire in my peers.”
